beyond the deeamsBehind the Dream takes you insidebeyond the dream Tropical Dreams, the rave music festival from Mutiny Events that turns the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, Massachusetts into a weekend-long celebration of dance music and community. This short documentary looks at the history behind the event, the people who make it happen, and the energy that fills every room once the music starts.
Tropical Dreams draws its spirit from the golden age of rave culture in the late ’90s and early 2000s, when self-expression, creativity, and connection were just as important as the sound system. That same ethos lives on at Tropical Dreams, a place where ravers can be themselves, meet their people, and lose themselves in incredible electronic music.
Blending candid interviews, behind-the-scenes moments, and footage from the festival floor, Behind the Dream tells the story of New England’s underground dance scene and the dedicated community that keeps the rave spirit alive year after year.
