This Friday, The World of Drum and Bass NYC returns to Brooklyn for another major night of amazing drum and bass full of international talent. Set for March 13, 2026 at One77, this year’s edition marks BP²’s 13th time hosting the event in New York — a milestone that says a lot about both the brand’s staying power and the city’s long-running connection to drum and bass culture. With a lineup featuring Bladerunner, Danny Byrd, Murdock, DJ SS, Document One, KlumzyKhemist, and Ultra, with MCs Toddlah, T.R.A.C., and Josiah Scribes, the 2026 edition is being framed as one of the biggest yet. Ahead of the show, we spoke with Will Luterzo founder of BP² about how they became the host of the NYC tour stop, the moments they’ll never forget, the challenges of keeping a DnB institution alive, and what makes The World of Drum and Bass NYC special after 13 editions.

How did BP² first become involved with the World of Drum and Bass?
We had just formed our crew and produced a few successful events that year, which caught the attention of DJ SS, the man behind The World of Drum and Bass. From there, we were able to collaborate on something really special. Interestingly enough, it took place at the same venue we’re using again this year — a space with an incredible sound system that’s perfect for drum and bass.
What makes this year’s edition feel special?
This year marks the 25th anniversary of World of Drum and Bass in NYC, which makes it a truly special milestone for the scene.
What’s the most unforgettable World of Drum and Bass NYC moment you have experienced hosting this event?
One of the most unforgettable moments was hosting the event inside a fully themed circus tent set up in the lot at the Mirage in Brooklyn. The atmosphere was absolutely wild and unlike anything we had done before.
What was the coolest venue you have used for this show and why?
The Lost Circus was a large themed circus-style tent that was temporarily installed in the outdoor lot at Avant Gardner. Instead of a traditional warehouse or club room, the event space was literally a massive striped circus tent, creating a surreal carnival-like environment for dance music events. This was the most rave thing we could have ever done.
Who were some of your favorite headliners who have performed at #WoDnBNYC?
Bladerunner has consistently been a fan favorite over the years. Mampi Swift, as well as Ed Rush & Optical, have also delivered some unforgettable sets and absolutely torn the place down on multiple occasions.
What’s the biggest challenge in producing an event like this?
Coordinating eight international artists is always a challenge. Each one requires flights, hotels, transportation, hospitality, and often a number of special requests. Making sure everything runs smoothly for the artists while delivering a great experience for the crowd takes a lot of careful planning.
How has the NYC drum and bass scene changed over the years?
The scene has definitely had its ebbs and flows. The ’90s through the early 2000s were an incredible time for drum and bass in NYC, but things slowed down for a while after that. That’s actually part of the reason we started BP² — we wanted to move beyond the smaller venues with poor sound systems and bring drum and bass back into larger, higher-quality spaces that had largely stopped booking the genre.
What role has The World of Drum and Bass NYC played in growing the scene?
The event has helped showcase homegrown talent on major lineups alongside international artists. That visibility has helped legitimize the scene in the eyes of larger venues and has brought in new audiences who may not have experienced drum and bass before.
What do you want people to feel when they walk into the room Friday?
For a few hours, we want people to forget about everything going on in the world and just be present in the moment. We want them to feel safe, welcomed, and connected — surrounded by others who are there for the same reason: to have an unforgettable time.
What’s next for BP²? Any other events in the pipeline for 2026?
Next up, we’ll be hosting the Drum and Bass stage at Sunken Suite. We help curate that stage and feel incredibly fortunate to be part of the festival. It’s another great opportunity to continue pushing the sound and supporting the drum and bass community.
After 13 editions hosted by BP² and 25 times in NYC, The World of Drum and Bass NYC feels less like a one-off stop and more like a fixture in the city’s dance music calendar. With bp2 continuing to help carry the torch and this Friday’s event bringing another stacked lineup to Brooklyn, the show remains a clear example of how drum and bass culture keeps evolving in the U.S. while staying true to its roots. This year’s edition lands Friday, March 13, 2026 at One77 in Brooklyn.
